Starting Fall 2027, Fullerton College will implement Course Program of Study (CPOS) requirements for financial aid. Under federal regulations, you will only receive financial aid for courses that apply to your declared degree or certificate program on file with Admissions and Records. This applies to both federal and state aid programs, including grants, work-study, and loans. If you enroll in courses that do not count toward your program of study, your financial aid may be reduced, though eligible students may still have enrollment fees covered by the California College Promise Grant (CCPG). You will be notified through myGateway if a course is not applicable. To learn more about CPOS, please attend the webinar “Stay Aid Eligible (CPOS) – Take classes that count!” during the Fall 2026 Financial Aid Webinars which will be available to access on the Financial Aid Website afterwards.
