Dr. Katherine Reed of Cal State Fullerton invites you to step inside the world of glam rock as seen through the lens of the 1998 cult film Velvet Goldmine and the music that inspired it. A reading from Dr. Reed’s book “That’s Me!”: Velvet Goldmine, Cult Media, and Finding Ourselves will be followed by a discussion of the media (music, movies, books, and more) that has shaped us. As in all the best cult media, audience participation is encouraged!
